Book Clubbies gather to celebrate The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, by Mark Twain. We will country feast, treasure hunt, craft, discuss, share projects, and have a grand ole time old-timey style. Cost includes straw hats, craft supplies, and treasure hunt supplies. Space is limited.

About The Event
Read the book with your family ahead of time. Any version will do. Audiobooks also work. The original version is a Little longer, so if you want to read that, I recommend getting started asap.
While you are reading do the following:
focus on themes of family, friendship, honesty/deceit.
create a trading pouch of “found treasures”
each child should find a meaningful quote from the book that relates to one of themes listed above. Then he or she should write the quote on a piece of paper and illustrate it.
sign-up on our perfect potluck to bring a food item for 3-4 dozen people.
