Service Project: Christmas Crafts at Senior Nursing Facility

We’ll gather to make simple but joyful Christmas decorations for the facility’s common areas while visiting and chatting with residents. After crafting, we’ll sing a few Christmas carols together! Come share the holiday cheer. This time with seniors is always so lovely, and they truly look forward to having us!

Important notes:

• Crafts made with residents will stay at the facility to decorate the common spaces. Please let your child know ahead of time that they won’t be taking their craft home.

• Many residents are in memory care or have hearing and cognitive challenges. Patience and a warm smile go a long way. We encourage families to take initiative in engaging with residents as small efforts make a big impact. It may feel awkward at first, but the residents are genuinely delighted to have us there.
