Santa Margarita River Trail w/ Shaina & Matt

We will walk along the river, there-and-back, for about 3-4 miles, stopping at our leisure to observe the wildlife, the trees, the bluffs and boulders, the river flow--and to play at the river's edge, of course. 

This is mostly an easy trail, but there is a section the requires careful walking/scrambling over granite boulders. Strollers are NOT going to work here because of that section--but backpack carriers would be fine. Littles should be fine also, but WILL need careful help over a few sections and will need supervision near water and bluffs. 

Bring snacks, water, jackets, dry socks, and you nature journals.
