Micron pens or paint lush washes with India inks, Gabriele of Fallbrook School of the Arts shows students how to explore
a variety of themes and mediums using ink and printmaking. You’ll simplify shapes and
objects, using graphic elements with unique marks and strokes. Fun challenges
are guaranteed.
Printmaking is a bit of a mystery to most people. Students will explore trace mono-
type and drypoint etching without a printing press. Enjoy making a series of original
art pieces that can be enhanced by you with colored pencil and watercolor. Simple
supplies are all that is needed and the only limit is one's imagination.
If you would like to check out trace monotypes look up Paul
Gauguin/Trace Monotype.
Students will also be intriduced to the printing press, basic concepts and techniques, styles--this art form is borth fascinating AND historical.
